Host Your Own Event: Fundraising events can take so many different forms - your creativity is the limit! Some Fundraising Ideas Include:
Workplace Giving: Include the Make-A-Wish® Orange County and the Inland Empire in your Workplace Giving campaigns, or start a matching-gifts program to encourage employee donations. Gift in honor of clients or employees: We can make cards in their honor to recognize and thank them for all they do! Great for the holidays! Donation Boxes and Star Sales: Place a donation box near each register or in the front office with information about the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Encourage your staff to inform customers about how your company supports this great cause. Cause Marketing: Donate a percentage of sales or specific dollar amount to the Foundation for a day, week, month or holiday. For restaurant participation see our Dine and Donate Packet. Participate in Make-A-Wish Events: Events benefiting the Foundation happen all year long. We encourage you to check out our Walk For Wishes® event, a spirited 2-mile walk and family-friendly festival of wishes, as well as numerous other events and promotions that occur throughout the year. Walk For Wishes®: Annual April event at the Great Park in Irvine. Sponsor or create a corporate team for this family-friendly event! We Care For Kids: Annual Golf Tournament and dinner/auction in Costa Mesa hosted in May. Sponsorships available.
OTHER WAYS TO GIVE
Grants: Does your company participate in grant programs? We'd love to apply to your grant today! In-Kind Donations: Many times we need specific items or skills to fulfill a wish. This could include anything from construction help, to computer or electronic help, to the donation of wish-specific items such as a laptop. Maybe you can help us find a special item or help us make it! You can also donate items, gift cards or services to be used in an auction or raffle at an upcoming event! Volunteering: Volunteers are the backbone of the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Our volunteers help us in a variety of different ways including, but not limited to: representing the Foundation at community events, speaking to businesses, assisting with office work, wish granting and much, much more! Backpack, Toy and Gift Card Drive: Our wish kids receive toys as enhancements during many phases of the wish process. Whether it's a gift to break the ice the first time we meet them, or a toy to fill a backpack for them to take on a travel wish, these gifts make each child feel extra special. With your help, we can fill our toy closet to the brim with a variety of great gifts! You can get your customers involved with this campaign as well! Electronic Waste: Host your own E-Waste drive or schedule a corporate pickup to donate old electronics and materials.
